An Interview with Janna Naylor, Personal Banking Officer
When you visit Crockett National Bank downtown, you are sure to run into Janna Naylor - learn more about one of our most tenured personal bankers:
1). Tell us who you are and what you do at Crockett.
I’m a proud graduate of Water Valley High School and Angelo State University. After graduating high school in 2000, I began working at Crockett National Bank as a teller while also “working” to obtain a college degree. I graduated with a bachelor degree in Business Administration in 2004. I went on to get married in 2005 and had a little boy in 2007! They truly are the best gift God has ever given me!
Crockett has been an intricate part of my growth personally and professionally in my amazing journey of life for the past 13 years. I love working at Crockett National Bank! I currently work in the main lobby where I have daily interaction with customers. My job entails a wide array of responsibilities ranging from customer service to opening new accounts to back office reporting. Put simply, I’m here to ensure that our customers not only have a pleasurable and satisfying banking experience here at Crockett National Bank; but that they also receive the appropriate products and services that best suit their banking needs.
2). What are two tips you would give to a customer looking for help with their banking needs?
The two tips I would give with regard to an individual's everyday banking needs would be to have a plan for saving money as well as to be aware of the available products and services in order to understand what will best fit their needs.
It's more important than ever to have a plan for saving money! Create a budget that is feasible for you and your family encompassing a strategy to save a little at the same time. In my 13 years of experience, I’ve learned that if you set a goal for yourself…to save money for instance…you are much more likely to achieve the task because you’ve established a target…something to work towards. If your goal is to buy a car, a reasonable first step might be to open a savings account and transfer a portion of your paycheck each month into the account until you have enough for a down payment. So my advice would be to save, save, save!
Don’t be afraid of technology! If you need clarity or explanation about a product or service, we are here to help. Electronic banking has absolutely changed the banking industry. Can you imagine life without a debit card? Things such as internet banking, electronic statements and bill pay are great products that make banking convenient. Embrace the changes because they surely can benefit you!
3). What’s your favorite thing about working for Crockett?
Absolutely, unequivocally, the people! I love everyone I work with! I have formed life-long friendships that extend and will continue beyond life at Crockett National Bank. I also have several very special customers that I look forward to seeing every time they walk through the door!
